OFFICE 365 Setup

Add “Send as” permission for all SBO user’s email addresses in office 365 exchange setup. 

Assumed SAP User has already setup with the same email domain, eg. @firsttec.com


Step 1: Log in Office 365 web with admin account

1. Login with Office 365 admin account and password.

2. Choose Admin

Step 2: Edit user account Exchange properties

  • Go to UsersActive users, and choose the user you want to be represented by the common Email (info@firsttec.com)


 


Click Username, and choose Edit Exchange properties

       


Step 3: Setup Mailbox delegation

1. In user Exchange properties page, go to mailbox delegation.

2. Add the common Email authenciated in SAP Business One mailer service to send Email



Step 4: Office 365 DNS Setup

Modify public domain DNS’s SPF record to include SAP Server IP.  This will allow SAP to work as a relay to send email using Office 365 account. This can only be down by the Domain Administrator. 


In Office365, open Exchange Online Admin Center. Go to Mail Flow, then click connectors

 

Click+ sign

Give a name, for example, allow client site server relay.


Verify the IP address of the SEND server matches the IP address of SAP Server, Click + Sign

 



ClickNext, and finish the setup.

 

 

Modify the public DNS’s SPF record to include SAP Server IP address, for an example

 

v=spf1include:spf.protection.outlook.com ip4:1.1.1.1 -all

 



SAP BUSINESS ONE MAILER SETUP

Here is the SAP Business One Mailer service setup. 


Try use SMTP Server name as [domain_name-com].mail.protection.outlook.com if smtp.office365.com is not working. 


 

Note:

After the setup, all alert will use this common Email address (info@firsttec.com) as the sender’s address, other Email will use sap user’s Email address as the sender’s.

Usually those sent emails won’t show up in info@firsttec.com’s sent mailbox. (this is the function of most Email client. SBO mailer don’t have it) . You can add a transportation rule in office 365 to bcc the sent emails back to info@firsttec.com for your records
