Please find enclosed recommended server setup for SAP Business One Server and Client installation. 

The option to deploy SAP Business One into a traditional L.A.N. environment or new Private Cloud Hosting varies according to individual business needs. The SAP system performance heavily rely on the SQL Server underlying hardware and drives setup. Please take note the network setup and distance of network cable will impact the server performance. 

Recommend to split the SQL, SAP and Terminal Servers to ensure optimum performance and avoid single point of failure. 

Recommend SAP consultant to perform the SQL Server installation to ensure is fine-tuned according to SAP requirements and optimum performance. 

Please ensure to hand over a clean Windows Server installation with below :

     - Latest Windows Updates are installed

     - .Net 3.5 is enabled

     - Drive setup for SQL Server according to the recommended drive configurations in page 5 ( 1.0.4 SBO Hardware and Network Sizing)

Recommend to install the antivirus software after the SQL and SAP Server installation and always have a full backup of all server instances in case of disaster recovery.

Note * : Microsoft SQL 2019 is currently not supported.

SQL Database Server

Depending on the SAP company database sizes, the following Database Server requirements are recommended as follows:

SAP Server

Independent Server is required when deploy a single SAP License Server to manage multiple Application Servers. It is highly recommend for high number of users ( 50 and above ) to ensure License Server availability is not affected by any fault in existing Application Servers.

Terminal Server

For each additional group of 15 users, an additional Application Server is recommended to be deployed in order to accommodate platform stress e.g. 15-30 users would require 2 Application Servers; 31-45 users would require 3 Application Servers and so on. Similar effects can achieve by using load balancing software such as Citrix etc.

Recommended Server Drive configuration to ensure optimum SQL Performance. 

Please note below suggested drive capacity for Data and Log is only an example, actual requirement varies according to the business based on the actual and potential growth of the company databases.
