There are 2 types of MSSQL license, per CALS (i.e. per user) or per Core (i.e. per server).

The type SAP Indirect Access license is determined by the type of MSSQL licensing.

Scenario 1 : If User is using MSSQL per CALS license, they could only purchase SAP Indirect Access User (named user) license.

Any 3rd party application, that has a named user will require a SAP Indirect Access User license for each user.

Concur is part of SAP therefore no additional indirect access license is required, however MSSQL license is required for each Concur user.

Scenario 2 : If User is using MSSQL per Core license,

User need to purchase 1x SAP Indirect Access by Non-employee license for each 3rd party system.

Below is an example by SAP,

When ordering the license, please choose the correct Indirect Access User or Indirect Access by Non-employee license type.

When requesting the SAP license, both Indirect Access User and Indirect Access by Non-employee license will be available in the SAP License Portal as Indirect User Access.
